CeLDD

"I completed CeLDD during 2007 and 2008 and it really opened my eyes to some of the technologies out there. The course is great in that it is reasonably flexible, so I didn't have to login at a specific time - just time-manage myself for an hour or two each week. CeLLD certainly exposed me to some new ideas, many of which I have been able to take forward and apply in the classroom, or in my blended learning courses. I would highly recommend CeLDD to other teachers who want to get up-to-speed with some of the current e-learning and Web 2.0 applications."

Mark Callagher, Wellington College (Teacher of History, Mathematics and Computer Studies, 2008 E-Learning Fellowship).

The Certificate in e-Learning Design and Development (CeLDD) is now available as a NorthTec qualification. CeLDD is an entry-level (level 4) programme that will develop competence in the knowledge and skills required to create effective and engaging e-learning environments in a variety of settings - including tertiary institutions, private training providers, schools, business, industry and the public sector.

CeLDD realises that games (amongst other emerging technologies) are an important feature of learning for today's students. You can find out more about the learning philosophy of CeLDD in the animation above. Use the wizard's wand to explore his world. Click on things to make stuff happen. Learning is about discovery, connecting, and engaging....
